Microsoft puts Windows XP to rest
Written By: Wika Podcast

Microsoft stops windows xp june 2008As of June,30 2008 ,Microsoft will end the sales and support for windows XP as mentioned by Microsoft officials earlier this week . At this date, Computer buyers won’t be able to buy new desktop or laptops with Windows XP only Windows Vista will be available and also computers manufacturers who offers a downgrading features (downgrading the operating system from Vista to XP) won’t be able to provide customers with Windows XP license upon delivery.

Windows XP will be available ONLY in some Ultra Low Cost Laptops such as Asus for a while may be until the June 2010 and Microsoft will be providing minimal technical support for Windows XP until 2014.

This move really shows that Microsoft knows nothing about the market they are operating in (or may be they really do !!!! ) .The increasing number of unsatisfied Windows Vista users have cornered Microsoft with no way out except to make a choice whether to bury Windows Vista or to force it on the users.

Windows XP users seem that they won’t give up so smoothly as Microsoft technical support lines have been ringing like crazy urging Microsoft to reconsider their decision. Will these angry sounds find a hearing ear ??
